Clickbait is designed to create web content that aims to generate online advertising revenue. Clickbait relies on amazing headlines to interests people to click the ads and persuades to forward the material online on social network. Clickbait is to spark curiosity , as their information is to make the readers feel curious about the ads. People who clicks  the link will go to the next stage of the bait.

Clickbait is used for positive and negative purposes. The positive is that it can be used to promote to a large audience. You can also use it to make an average content viral as such it will be able to generate revenue. The negative use is that clickbait can be use by hackers to provide malicious malware, phishing sites, scams and many more. One of the example of clickbait techniques that scammers and hackers use is to link videos to a celebrity doing something scandalous. When u click on the link, you will likely to be told to install a special video app to watch the video and you will end up getting malware packages to your computer. Everything is just a scheme to play with your curiosity. Is the use of clickbait justified? I feel like it all depends on the creator of the clickbait. There’s other ways of advertising, I believe many people are aware of hackers as such they are afraid to click on clickbait. They prefer to avoid them.

The cause that I feel strongly about is animal extinction. Some of the animals that has recently went extinct were cause by human activities, which made animals loss their homes, introduction of alien species and the change of climates. A pair of songbirds, the Alagoas Foliage-gleaner was discovered in 1975, but not until 2002 was discovered to be Cryptic Treehunter from the forest in north-eastern Brazil.  The Cryptic Treehunter was last seen in 2007 while Alagoas Foliage-gleaner was last seen in 2011. The other animal would be the northern white rhino which was poached for their horns. The last male died at age 45, and females incapable to reproduce.

To create awareness using digital platform, animal activist can use social media to raise awareness to prevent these beautiful animals from extinction. They will be able to give other people who loves animal a platform as an information to volunteer in activities that save animals.  The results would be having benefits to raise awareness and inspire activism which can add numbers to be activist around the world. Millions of people connected and read post or an article which is not possible for print media. There are also many organization who use social media such as “The Dodo”.  These organization made caring about animals a viral cause. I believe that everyone in this world should be given an opportunity to do their parts to save animals from extinction.

The best HTML TOOLS for me is the Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) which means it’s a software that combines tools to make wed design and development easier. It is an application that let you design, code and manage websites. Dreamweaver is able to write code as well as make a website using a visual interface. There’s a visual design toolbox basically lets you build websites with your mouse and allows you to place website elements the way you create a layout in Word.

This is very useful because it allows you to build the skeleton of a website quickly and without the need to write a single line of code. Dreamweaver will automatically create the necessary code for you. Dreamweaver has all the necessary tools for coding if you’re able to do your own codes.

Dreamweaver is a fully-featured code editor. It comes with all the standard functions, including:

• Syntax highlighting — That means Dreamweaver highlights different elements (such as operators, variables, etc.) in different colours in order to make the code easier to read and correct.

• Code Completion — Code completion works in a similar way as autocomplete on your phone. Start typing and the editor will make suggestions for what you are trying to write. That way, you don’t have to type everything out completely.

• Code collapsing — Code collapsing is another feature for making code easier to read. It allows you to visually shrink parts of your code when you don’t need them. That way, you don’t have to scroll through the entire file but can only deal with the parts you need to work on.

User interface (UI) in video games helps players to navigate, find information and accomplish goals. Video game UI components are crucial aspect of playability. The two aspects of UI that are vital in video game design are Narrative and The Fourth Wall. Narratives are the story that a video game tell and The Fourth Wall is an imaginary barrier between the game player and the space in which the game takes place. UI component inhabits video games to create story, space and character within the game. The UI are capable of distract or frustrates players. For example, an in-game speedometer that resides on a vehicle dashboard will likely be too small for players to see clearly. UI component helps players to select objects or point out important landmarks. To show that the player has taken damage UI made the screen shaken, blurred or discoloured. The things I find exceptionally intuitive is that without UI components, games are not realistic or have an effect on our mind, Example, when our character got hurt but we can’t feel the hurt but UI made us become aware of the playable character getting hurt. Furthermore, UI made games more exciting and entertaining. With the exception of UI, human being can’t have the feeling of connection with a machine.

The last game I played was Mobile Legend. Mobile Legend is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game developed by the company Moonton. There are two opposing team that fights and destroy each other as they try to destroy the enemy base while defending their own base. There are three lanes known as “top”, “middle” and “bottom” which connects the bases. Weaker computer-controlled characters, called “minions”, spawn at team bases and follow the three lanes to the opposite team’s base, fighting enemies and turrets. The developer makes the graphics and visual of the game. Furthermore, every character has its own voice and of course the background music and sound effects as well that makes the game more entertaining. It is appealing because you have to get the right items to make your character strong. The way you control your character or where to move, what to avoid and how to strategies your gameplay can make your character very strong and will lead you to victory. It’s more like you need to have a good brain and teammates that supports you to win the game. Mobile Legends have an international competition where the pros from all around the world battle it out for a prize pool of USD $250,000. However, I don’t think I came any close to be a pro just yet.

The ad that recently come out of my Facebook feed is from Sony Pictures which come out in cinema next year in February 13. It’s a movie trailer of Fantasy Island, an action thriller movie. The beautiful actress Lucy Hale will be the lead in the movie. The plot is like a mysterious person name Mr. Roarke played by Michael Pena, makes dreams of his lucky guest comes true by inviting them to a luxurious remote island. However, the guest fantasies turn into nightmares as the guest run for their lives to escape the island. I’m not going to spoil the movie further, please do watch the trailer if action thriller is your thing. The results of the advert are very creative and the technical work is amazing. Trailers make people have a snippet of the Movie and thus give a feeling of the movie is worth watching. For advertising to be effective it is important to bring in more creative ideas, the ads need to be better at delivering with high quality content. The trailer needs to be more engaging to influence me as an audience to spend my money to watch the movie. The other thing is the timing. Will the audience remember the trailer that they watch today? The movie releases next year, will the trailer be forgotten. They will be other great movies that will come out next year. So hopefully when audiences watch it today, the trailer of the movie still plays on their mind till next year as worth watching movie.

Creative Class are ideology of Richard Florida, he presents a new methodology to apprehend the means of wealth creation. Creative class chooses to be in environment that have cultural amenities and diverse population. Florida made cities invest in people who are in the category of creative class as his theories of making knowledge-hub cities will benefits the people.

Creative class are professional individuals that were divided into two section which consist of Super-creative core and creative professionals. Groups in Super-creative core are the innovative people, the creators of commercial products and consumer goods. Creative professionals on the other had are known to be knowledgeable to solve problems.

There’re values in creative class which is essentials to business today because of its purpose to create variety of ideas, invent newest technology and many more in its elements. The quality that the creative class have are transferable and useful. Members of creative class have cognitive skills ands social intelligence which played a vital role in establishing industries and businesses.

I can’t say that I am a member of the creative class just yet. Im still studying and exploring my creativity that could maybe someday be useful to industries such as film making industries.

Knowledge economy is to produce goods and services based mainly on knowledge-intensive activities. Knowledge economy has large portion of skilled workers in the economy. Knowledge-intensive activities involves collecting, analysing and synthesising information.  

If I want to be viable in terms of knowledge and capabilities in a knowledge economy I have to be committed to learn and increase my skills and expertise, these will help me develop my innovations. Some of the knowledge-based organization include education institutions, media, professional firms that provides information-based services like medicine, engineering law and scientific and technological research companies.

I would love to enter the industry of filmmaking. I want to be involved in making stories, giving ideas, screenwriting, casting, shooting, sound recording and editing of films. It has always been my dream to have my film played in the cinema and get good reviews. I also interested in directing a film.

There are school of film and media studies in Singapore, I want to increase my knowledge in this area and I would love to pursue my dream and hopefully I achieve it. I would work from bottom to gain experience and would like to sustain a very long career in the industry.

Cyberbullying transpires when you use digital technology. The abuse comes from via your internet, emails, text messages, social media, forums and even gaming. The platforms took place where people can view, get engage and share the content. These contents may cause embarrassment and humiliation which will be shared to victimise the person mentally and not physically. Cyberbullying doesn’t require the cyberbullies to reveal their identity as they don’t have to be face-to-face contact with the victim which it’s hard to know wrongdoer that starts the cyberbully.

When you’ve been abuse by cyberbullies, the effects on cyberbullying will hurt you mentally. It will affect your everyday lives which is the main cause of distress and worry. Cyberbullying has led to unfortunate incident such as suicide and self-harm as a mean of relief. In my opinion, they might feel like it’s the only way that they can do to escape from being cyberbullied.

To deal with these cyberbullies, you should look for people who supported you, manage your stress and spend time with people that can ease your troubles and make you happy. You should not respond to any messages or post because it is what the cyberbullies want, and will make them feel satisfied. It’s best you don’t read at all or care if it exists as it brings your self-esteem down. Save the evidence of cyberbullying and report it to the authority. Ensure that you block all of these cyberbullies from having any contact with you. No matter how embarrassed or shame from being cyberbullied, don’t hesitate to seek for assistance.

I was born in the year 1990, considered to be a Millennials Generation. I am comfortable with digital technologies and social media. My first encounter with social media is when I was at the age of 14. The first account of social media for me was Friendster. In my early life before social media was introduced, communication was not as easy as it is now. If I want to talk to my friends, I have to do so by face to face interaction, wrote them letters or I need to have their numbers to call them via telephone. However, with the invention of social media, it is use as a platform to make communication become easier and larger. I get to know and communicate with people not just from Singapore but also around the world.

As time goes by, technology has made our life simpler. With the invention of smart phone, we as human being depends so much on technologies that we have grown attach to it. Technology has become a necessity for all of us and we can’t live without it. I believe that life is like a battery, which has the existence of positive and negative sides. Same goes to social media, nothing can be perfect

The positive side of having social media is that it helps me to remain in contact with my friends. It allows people to find others with similar interests as themselves whom they can create a relationship with and get to know each other. Social Media helps us to share music, videos, pictures, blogging and messaging as well as posting our ideas and stories. It benefits businesses which allows businesses to advertise and market services to a large number of audiences.

Negative effect of social media is not in comparison to the positive. I believe that the positive effects of social media is more compared to negative effects. Firstly, the negative opinion I have about social media is that it reduces socialising time by face to face as there are online interaction. So there’s a lesser need of meeting up with friends. Next, is the risk it course as the information you share to the public might hurt you in the future when you try to get a job. Your future employers will view your social media before you are selected. The worse is that it also can lead to cyber bullying which can cause depression and decreased of your social skills.
