What would be a cause which you feel most strongly about? How would you create awareness using only digital platforms? What would be your intended result?

The cause that I feel strongly about is animal extinction. Some of the animals that has recently went extinct were cause by human activities, which made animals loss their homes, introduction of alien species and the change of climates. A pair of songbirds, the Alagoas Foliage-gleaner was discovered in 1975, but not until 2002 was discovered to be Cryptic Treehunter from the forest in north-eastern Brazil.  The Cryptic Treehunter was last seen in 2007 while Alagoas Foliage-gleaner was last seen in 2011. The other animal would be the northern white rhino which was poached for their horns. The last male died at age 45, and females incapable to reproduce.

To create awareness using digital platform, animal activist can use social media to raise awareness to prevent these beautiful animals from extinction. They will be able to give other people who loves animal a platform as an information to volunteer in activities that save animals.  The results would be having benefits to raise awareness and inspire activism which can add numbers to be activist around the world. Millions of people connected and read post or an article which is not possible for print media. There are also many organization who use social media such as “The Dodo”.  These organization made caring about animals a viral cause. I believe that everyone in this world should be given an opportunity to do their parts to save animals from extinction.
