Find an ad that appears on your social media feed. What would you do to improve the effectiveness of the campaign?

The ad that recently come out of my Facebook feed is from Sony Pictures which come out in cinema next year in February 13. It’s a movie trailer of Fantasy Island, an action thriller movie. The beautiful actress Lucy Hale will be the lead in the movie. The plot is like a mysterious person name Mr. Roarke played by Michael Pena, makes dreams of his lucky guest comes true by inviting them to a luxurious remote island. However, the guest fantasies turn into nightmares as the guest run for their lives to escape the island. I’m not going to spoil the movie further, please do watch the trailer if action thriller is your thing. The results of the advert are very creative and the technical work is amazing. Trailers make people have a snippet of the Movie and thus give a feeling of the movie is worth watching. For advertising to be effective it is important to bring in more creative ideas, the ads need to be better at delivering with high quality content. The trailer needs to be more engaging to influence me as an audience to spend my money to watch the movie. The other thing is the timing. Will the audience remember the trailer that they watch today? The movie releases next year, will the trailer be forgotten. They will be other great movies that will come out next year. So hopefully when audiences watch it today, the trailer of the movie still plays on their mind till next year as worth watching movie.
